Your Health. Our Mission.
We are committed to supporting the Adams County community through access to essential health care services and innovative public health programs that redefine the systems impacting people’s health. With your help, together we create a healthier future for Adams County today and for generations to come.

What is Public Health?
Public health goes beyond traditional health care by addressing the numerous sources creating barriers to greater physical, mental, behavioral, social, and community health. These efforts include, but are certainly not limited to
- Connecting people and families with food and housing resources
- Supporting families and their young children
- Immunizing the public against preventable diseases
- Developing pathways to health care coverage
- Breaking stigmas surrounding behavioral health and substance use
- Creating a healthier environment – inside and outside of the home
Through a focus on prevention and community-led initiatives, the Adams County Health Department is leading the charge toward creating a healthier community and future where everyone can live, work, and play.
