Dr. Suzuho Shimasaki, DrPH, MPH

Suzuho Shimasaki, DrPH, MPH (they/them), is recognized across Colorado as a public health leader with vast experience in health equity and social justice, organizational capacity building, workforce development, and community-led transformation. Suzuho is coming to Adams County from CDPHE, where they have served as the Community Partnership & Engagement Manager within the Office of Health Equity. Suzuho is also the Principal of Catalysts for Achieving Racial and Ethnic Equity (CARE Equity), LLC, and before working at CDPHE, they served as the Deputy Public Health Director at Pitkin County throughout much of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to their professional experiences, Suzuho is personally invested in advancing equity and justice and has served as the President of the Colorado Public Health Association, Board Co-Chair of the Center for Health Progress, and a member of the Inclusiveness Project and Basic Human Needs Committees for The Denver Foundation.
Suzuho enjoys bike rides and playground adventures with their toddler in their free time, building community, open water swimming, and experiencing live performances from music and dance to theater and comedy.
