Certified Lactation Counselor Scholarship Deadline

May 10

The Adams County Health Department (ACHD) is supporting families’ desire to breastfeed their newborns! Through this scholarship program, ACHD is offering to pay for people to learn the skills to teach others about breastfeeding, especially in communities of color, LGBTQIA+, rural, and low-income communities that do not have as much access to breastfeeding support.

This scholarship covers the registration to Healthy Children Project’s Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) online course, as well as textbook and exam costs. The scholarship recipient will also get hands-on experience through ACHD’s weekly breastfeeding support group.

Applications must be submitted by May 10 at 5 p.m. The scholarship recipient will be notified by May 15.
