With any food business, there will be maintenance and renovations. However, some changes may require a plan review. Find out if you need a plan review.

Do You Need a Plan Review?

Walk through the questions in this table to evaluate whether you need a plan review.
Yes	No
Are you: Moving plumbing or fixtures? Remodeling food prep areas or bathrooms? Building a brand-new kitchen that has never been licensed? Adding a dish machine or a three-compartment sink? Adding a walk-in cooler, freezer, or major cooking equipment? Adding or extending kitchen hood vents?	Are you: Switching out like-for-like equipment? Remodeling the dining area but not the kitchen? Taking over a previously licensed space and not doing any remodeling? Doing minor cosmetic repairs that do not affect the kitchen layout? Even if you don’t need a plan review, you must pass an inspection before operating.
