A successful first Women, Infants, & Children appointment relies on having the correct items and following specific steps. Our guide can help you prepare.

Before your first appointment, learn more about the Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) program, including how it can support you and your family.
Preparing for Your Appointment
- Please watch the WIC Shopping Tips video to learn how to find WIC-approved foods and how to use your eWIC card, also available in Spanish.
- If you do not have SNAP, Medicaid, or TANF, please text or email a picture of your proof of address, income, and identification for each WIC participant, to your closest WIC clinic. Check the list of approved identification documents, also available in Spanish. Please note that the phone numbers below are for texting documents only, not phone calls.

- Download the WICShopper App.
- If your WIC appointment is over the phone, please have participants’ heights, weights, and hemoglobin (iron) levels from their most recent doctor’s visit. If you do not have these available, please schedule a time to have these taken at the WIC clinic or your doctor’s office.

After Your Appointment
- Call 1.844.234.4950 to set up your eWIC card PIN. You will need the endorser’s date of birth and zip code.
- Add your eWIC card number to the WICShopper App.
