We are happy to welcome Levon Hupfer as our new Adams County Health Department Deputy Director.
Hupfer is a proud resident of Adams County where he has served for the past 10 years as the Director of Diversion, Health and Legislation for the District Attorney's Office. He represented the elected District Attorney on numerous community boards and councils and his division was a successful behavioral health alternative to formal prosecution. Health equity and transformative justice have been central to his leadership values. Prior to this, he led operations for a 50-bed treatment program for the Colorado Division of Youth Services.
Hupfer is credentialed as a Licensed Addiction Counselor and Master Addiction Counselor with 20 years of clinical experience serving diverse populations. He has had past Governor appointments to the Tony Grampsas Youth Services Board and State Board of Addiction Counselors. He has been an instructor in the Graduate Department of Psychology at Colorado State University for the past six years.
